Sunday Isiyaku – Sightsavers Country Director – Nigeria & Ghana
Dr Sunday Isiyaku is Sightsavers’ Country Director for Nigeria and Ghana. He holds a PhD in Zoology from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State. He started his career as a Senior Research Officer with the Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research Kaduna in 1992 and left to join Sightsavers as Programme Officer in 1997 where he developed a passion for disability and inclusion. He was appointed Country Director in 2009. He has extensive experience in research and programme management and co-authored several publications on neglected tropical diseases and eye health. He is an ardent follower of football and enjoys reading and listening to music.
